Egypt's Muslim Brotherhood expresses support for Hizbullah

The Muslim Brotherhood said in a statement Wednesday that it supports Hizbullah, which the Egyptian government has accused of planning attacks in Egypt. Hizbullah has rejected the accusation, but admitted one of its members was in Egypt supervising weapons shipments to Hamas in the Gaza Strip. The Brotherhood, Egypt's largest opposition group, said that Muslim governments and their people have a duty to supply Palestinians with weapons to fight Israel. The group said supplying weapons to Hamas does not violate Egypt's security. Earlier this month, Egypt said it was searching for 49 alleged Hizbullah agents who were planning to attack Egyptian institutions and Israeli tourists.
