Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Thursday warned President Shimon Peres and Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni against "closing the door" on the peace talks with Syria.
Speaking in New York following the UN conference on reconciliation between the major monotheistic religions, Erdogan told Peres and Livni that it was important that Israel "walk through the door" to peace and not terror elements, Israel Radio reported.
He expressed hope that Israel will continue peace talks also during the time the country is preparing for national elections.
