Hamas calls for dialogue between Palestinian factions

Eight Damascus-based Palestinian groups, including Hamas and Islamic Jihad, called for national dialogue between rival Palestinian factions on Thursday, but said they will not give up their fight against Israel. Hamas said it will reject any political deals that hinder the "continuity of the resistance" against Israel. Thursday's statement suggested the reconciliation discussions be sponsored by Egypt, Qatar, Syria and Turkey.
