Hamas: We'll look at cease-fire which ceases Israeli attacks, lifts siege

Hamas on Wednesday announced that it was prepared to look into a cease-fire proposal in the Gaza Strip, on the condition that it would include full cessation of Israeli attacks, and opening of all crossings into area. "The moment that we receive the proposal, we'll look at it," said senior Hamas official Ayman Taha. "We will support a proposal that will bring about a full cessation of attacks, and full lifting of the siege." Shortly before the statement was released, the Security Cabinet decided not to bow to international pressure for a cease-fire, and said that Operation Cast Lead would continue until its aims are met.
