Hezbollah arrested three people on suspicion of operating an Israeli spy network, Arabic TV channel Al-Arabiya reported Tuesday.
The three suspects, apparently Lebanese nationals, were all arrested in a south Beirut suburb.
The Lebanese An-Nahar newspaper said on its Facebook page that although Hezbollah was not officially commenting on the arrests, unnamed sources had provided many details on the suspects.
Details included alleged background on one of the suspects in Ukraine.
Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah will likely speak about the issue when he gives his speech on the anniversary of the Second Lebanon War this month, the report added.
“I cannot comment on the issue. I don’t have any information about it,” said Hezbollah MP Ali Fayyad, according to the country’s Daily Star newspaper.
