Iran's Zarif wishes 'happy Rosh Hashana' to Jews worldwide
Iran's Foreign Minister wrote on his Twitter account on Sunday that "as the sun gives way to the moon, I wish all my Jewish compatriots... a very Happy New Year."

Iran's Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif took to social media Sunday to wish Jews in Iran and around the world a happy New Year.

"As the sun gives way to the moon," Zarif wrote, "I wish all my Jewish compatriots and Jews worldwide a very Happy New Year." Some 6,000 Jews live in Iran today, making the the Islamic Republic home to the third largest Jewish community in the Middle East after Israel and Turkey.
