Is the Bank of ISIS opening a branch in Israel?
Police on Monday were checking the origin of bills resembling American hundred dollar bills with Arabic writing and a picture of Islamic State leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi on them.
The bills were discovered in the town of Sade Eliezer in the Upper Galilee.
The fake money was sent to a lab for further testing and police have opened an investigation into the incident.
More than 30 Israeli Arabs are estimated to have attempted to join the extremist terrorist organization that has taken over large swaths of territory in Syria and Iraq. Some of them have attempted to set up ISIS cells in Israel, while others have traveled to Syria to join the organization.
On Saturday, ISIS leader Baghdadi released an audio tape in which he threatened Israel and the Jews for the first time.
