Lebanon's rival political factions have resumed talks on a divisive national defense strategy, but the meeting broke up after a participant fell ill and was rushed to the hospital. Legislator Ghassan Tueni collapsed during Wednesday's meeting hosted by President Michel Suleiman. The state-run news agency said Tueni was stable. There have been signs of differences among the factions that could make the dialogue drag out indefinitely. The dialogue is part of a deal reached in May that defused a long-running political crisis. In their last meeting September 16, the factions agreed to work toward a national defense strategy that could eventually integrate Hezbollah's weapons into the army.
