Lebanese report: Israel detonated spy device, killing Hezbollah member

Lebanese security sources have claimed that a spy device remotely detonated by Israel caused an explosion in the country's south that killed a Hezbollah member on Friday.A Lebanese security source told the Beirut-based Daily Star that 25-year-old Hezbollah explosive expert Hussein Ali Haidar was killed in an explosion near the southern village of Adloun while trying to dismantle various devices planted on the Shi'ite Islamist organization's telecommunication network.The report cited residents who alleged that they saw an Israeli aircraft flying low over the southern region prior to the blast.The Daily Star also reported that the Lebanese army released a statement in regard to the incident, saying it had located the purported surveillance apparatus that had exploded and killed a nearby civilian.The Lebanese military was conducting further investigations.
