Mashaal: The time has come to talk to Hamas

Hamas leader Khaled Mashaal said on Wednesday night that it was time for the world to talk to Hamas. "For three years, they have been trying to rid themselves of Hamas, they imposed a blockade on Gaza. The time has come to talk to us," Mashaal said during a speech in Damascus. Mashaal described the IDF campaign in Gaza as the "first real war that our people have won," stressing that "Hamas and the resistance movements played an honorable role."
