Report: Egypt talking to Hamas about new Gaza cease-fire

A Palestinian official was quoted on Friday as saying that Egypt had been in contact with Hamas with regards to a cease-fire in Gaza.
Reuters quoted the official as saying that the talks aimed to look into new ideas to bring about a new agreement between Israel and Hamas.
Since the beginning of Operation Cast Lead last Saturday, over 400 Palestinians have been killed in IAF air strikes, and four Israelis have been killed by terrorist rocket fire.
