Report: Three Palestinians killed in Gaza tunnel collapse

According to sources in Gaza, Hamas has imposed a complete media blackout on the details of the incident.

At least three Palestinian were killed Sunday night as the result of the collapse of an underground tunnel in Gaza's southern Rafah area near the border with Egypt, Channel 2 cited Palestinian reports as saying.
According to sources in Gaza, Hamas has imposed a complete media blackout on the details of the incident.
The affiliation of the reported casualties was not initially known.
Earier on Sunday, the Egyptian military reportedly destroyed an underground passageway from their side of the border with Gaza. A correlation between the two incidents was not clear.
According to the report, the incident marked the 11th reported tunnel collapse in the Gaza Strip in the past three months.
On Thursday, Israel Radio reported that Hamas employs more than 1,000 operatives to excavate underground tunnels in the Gaza Strip.
Hamas deputy political bureau chief, Ismail Haniyeh, vowed in February  that his group will never stop digging tunnels and upgrading rockets in preparation for any possible confrontation with Israel.
