Syria rejects direct talks until Israel responds to Golan Heights questions

Damascus officials that Syria was unwilling to engage Israel in direct peace talks until Israel answered six specific questions on the matter of the Golan Heights, according to a report in the London-based Al-Hayat on Thursday morning.
According to the report, Turkey asked Israel and Syria to present six questions on matters of security and borders. Syria had provided the answers to Turkey and is awaiting a response from Jerusalem.
