An Iraqi television station said two of its journalists were among the more than 30 people killed in a suicide attack west of Baghdad.
The director of the Cairo-based Baghdadiya TV said both the cameraman and correspondent covering a reconciliation meeting Tuesday in the town of Abu Ghraib were killed when the bomber struck.
The station's Baghdad-based producer Raad al-Saidi identified the two as cameraman Haider Hashim, 27, and correspondent Souhaib Adnan, 30.
Last December, the New York-based Committee to Protect Journalists says Iraq remains the deadliest country for journalists. Eleven journalists were killed in Iraq in 2008, down from 32 in both 2006 and 2007.
