WATCH: Egyptian man surprises bride-to-be with ISIS-themed wedding

25-year-old Ahmed Shehata surprised his bride to be and the guests at his wedding by staging a kidnapping by hooded Islamic State (ISIS) militants.

ISIS themed wedding
Many people look for a way to make their wedding stand out among others with various gimmicks, dances, video tributes and the like. However, one Egyptian man's attempt to spice up his matrimonial ceremony may have been a prime example of "too soon."
25-year-old Ahmed Shehata surprised his bride to be and the guests at his wedding by staging a kidnapping by hooded Islamic State (ISIS) militants holding swords and mimicking the scenes in horrifying videos distributed by the terror group in which they decapitate their victims.
The masked and armed men ushered the couple into a cage reminiscent of the one seen in an ISIS video released last month in which a kidnapped Jordanian pilot was burned to death.
Eventually the men unmasked themselves and the scene turned into a raucous dance party in the cage.
The stunt came just weeks after ISIS released a video showing 21 Egyptian Christians that were kidnapped in Libya being beheaded.
The Guardian quoted Shehata as defending the stunt against claims it was in poor taste: "We aren’t making light of other people’s blood. We’re showing that we’re not scared, and that Egyptians meet any crisis with laughter and comedy.”
His wife Shaimaa Deif, also defended the move, though she admitted she was initially surprised by it. "The cage you’re scaring us with, we are dancing inside it," she told the Guardian.
