Yemen arrests 7 Saudis on alleged terror ties

Security officials in Yemen said authorities have arrested seven Saudi Arabian men and were questioning them on suspicion of having ties to al-Qaida and other terror groups. The officials said the Saudis are among a group of 30 others arrested in recent weeks for allegedly planning to carry out terrorist acts. The officials spoke Tuesday on condition of anonymity because they are not allowed to talk to the media. The identities of the seven Saudis were not released. Elements of al-Qaida have long found a haven in Yemen's remote hinterland. Earlier this month, Saudi Arabia issued a most-wanted list of 83 Saudis and two Yemenis - including two Saudi ex-Guantanamo detainees who recently appeared in an al-Qaida video in Yemen.
