Watch the 1985 American black comedy film After Hours. Directed by Martin Scorsese, the film depicts one night in the life of computer data entry worker Paul Hackett (Griffin Dunne) as he attempts to find a little romance in 1980s Soho – and gets a very different experience from what he was seeking.

MONDAY, JULY 7

Don’t miss Striking the Palace, a recent French comedy film directed by Nessim Hikhaoui about a band of chambermaids who fight for better working conditions. Screened with English and Hebrew subtitles, this is a solid choice for anyone looking for a feel-good movie.

TUESDAY, JULY 8

Enjoy the 1968 film The Odd Couple, a timeless comedy/drama starring two great actors who play the main characters: the messy Oscar Madison (Walter Matthau), and his neurotically neat apartment mate Felix Unger (Jack Lemmon). 

Directed by Gene Saks, the film is a treasured classic and is being screened as part of a tribute to Lemmon at the Jerusalem Cinematheque.
