Police arrested two teens and an adult on Monday for allegedly taking part in the brutal assault of a man in Ra’anana who asked for the noise to be kept down.
The teens, both 15, and a man, 41, were arrested following a two-week-long intensive investigation by Kfar Saba police.
At the beginning of the month, a man was out walking his dog when he ran into a group of noisy youths. He asked them to quiet down, and they threatened him with violence in response, police said. The man left the area. On Wednesday night, the man encountered the same youths. A number of them followed him home, and one teen allegedly punched him in the face as he turned to enter his apartment.
The man was knocked to the ground, and the youths allegedly continued assaulting him with punches and kicks.
Paramedics evacuated him to the Meir Medical Center in Kfar Saba after he sustained multiple bruises in various locations.
“We will not tolerate violence of any kind, and we will use all available tools to prosecute criminals,” police said after the arrest. A fourth suspect, also a minor, was arrested a few days after the incident.
Two months ago Gadi Vichman, a father of two, was stabbed to death in Beersheba by a youth after he asked a group of teens to keep the noise down so he could put his child to sleep. A suspect has been charged with Vichman’s murder.
