A 16-year-old boy from Petah Tikva is under arrest after allegedly stabbing his friend with a broken bottle in the city on Saturday night.Police say the two minors arrived at the Oron shopping center in the evening, but that an argument developed between the two “friends.”Before long, the argument turned to blows.“The 16-year-old was holding a beer bottle. He broke the bottle and stabbed his 17-year-old friend,” Petah Tikva police said on Sunday.
The stab victim was rushed to the city’s Beilinson Medical Center, where he was treated and released after a short while. He escaped the incident with minor injuries.The suspect had in the meantime fled the scene and returned to his home, where he was arrested by police.During questioning, the youth “tied himself to the suspicions against him,” police added.The case material has been passed on to police prosecutors, who will lead the legal prosecution process.
