Elderly person allegedly attacked by youngsters

For the third time in a week, an elderly Israeli in Herzliya is apparently assaulted by young people in a public place.

For the third time in a week, an elderly Israeli has apparently been assaulted by young people in a public place.
Tel Aviv Police said on Tuesday that a 71-year-old man had told them that another man, appearing to be in his twenties, pushed him to the ground in Herzliya during an argument Monday night over the older man’s driving. After the incident the man felt ill and was taken for treatment at Meir Hospital.
Two suspects, residents of Tel Aviv and Ramat Gan, were arrested shortly afterwards.
On Saturday, 75-year-old Amiram Oron was beaten after he told a twenty-something man to put his dog on a leash. Oron suffered a broken leg and facial wounds.
The suspect in that case was also arrested, but was later released, maintaining that Oron had struck him first.
On Sunday, Public Security Minister Yitzhak Aharonovitch condemned the acts of violence, saying they show “that a segment of the Israeli population does not respect others, in particular those who deserve our respect more than anyone else.”
