Eyal Golan's lawyers have filed a plea bargain which the singer's counsel reached with the Israel Tax authority over tax offenses which the latter has accused Golan of committing.
The plea bargain relieves Golan of any direct personal liability for tax evasion, but the singer would still accept responsibility on his company's behalf over which he serves as manager.
The plea bargain currently under consideration by the Tel Aviv Magistrate's Court would involve fining the singer NIS 2.5 million and require his commitment to community service.
Golan is currently on a concert tour in the US as the proceedings continue to unfold.
