Jaffa man arrested for fatal stabbing of colleague

Police arrested a 25-year-old man from Jaffa on suspicion of stabbing a coworker to death at a Tel Aviv bakery.

Police arrested a 25-year-old man from Jaffa on suspicion of stabbing a coworker to death at a Tel Aviv bakery early on Friday.
The suspect fled the scene on foot after the killing, but was apprehended soon afterwards.
Ashraf Taul, 27, of east Jerusalem, was rushed to Ichilov Hospital at the Sourasky Medical Center in Tel Aviv, but died of his injuries soon after arriving.
Upon hearing the news of the murder, the victim’s family arrived at the bakery and began destroying the site, hurling objects into the shop.
A small forensics police presence at the site was unable to control the disturbance, and a backup force from the Special Patrol Unit arrived on the scene and arrested six of the rioting relatives.
Police suspect the stabbing occurred following an argument between the two men.
Later on Friday, Channel 1 broadcast images from the murder scene showing the suspect recreating the attack and making mock stabbing gestures to show detectives how he carried out the killing.
Meanwhile, in a separate incident, a 36-year-old woman allegedly stabbed and injured her 45-year-old ex-husband amid an argument in Rechasim in the North.
The stabbing victim arrived at the Rambam Medical Center in Haifa with wounds to his chest and leg.
Police arrested the woman and recovered a knife in her possession.
