Hadassah, the Women's Zionist Organization of America will celebrate its 100-year anniversary on Tuesday afternoon in Jerusalem.
Hadassah was founded by Henrietta Szold in 1912, together with a group of determined young women – all skilled Jewish communal activists and committed Zionists.
Hadassah enhances the health of people worldwide through its support of medical care and research at the Hadassah Medical Organization in Jerusalem. Hadassah empowers its members and supporters as well as youth in Israel and America through opportunities for personal growth, education, advocacy and Jewish continuity.
On Tuesday, it will celebrate these achievements with an Opening Program at Safra Square, followed by a dedication ceremony for the new $363 million Sarah Wetsman Davidson Hospital Tower.
On Thursday afternoon, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu is scheduled to speak at the Centennial Gala.
