Knesset Interior Committee chairwoman Miri Regev (Likud Beytenu) formed a subcommittee to discuss Jewish entry to the Temple Mount.
"Unfortunately, even though my committee held many meetings on preparations for Jews to ascend the Temple Mount on holidays, many visitors, including children, were left outside," Regev stated.
The new committee, announced Wednesday, will be led by MK David Tsur (Hatnua) and its other members will be MKs Zevulun Kalfa (Bayit Yehudi) and Nachman Shai (Labor).
Tsur will hold meetings over the next three months to examine the implementation of the government's decision to allow Jews on the Temple Mount for 3.5 hours per day.
The committee will also hold a discussion in preparation for Pessah.
According to Regev, this is the first time the Interior Committee has formed a subcommittee on this issue.
