Yariv Oppenheimer, general director for Peace Now, penned a letter to Education Minister Shai Piron on Thursday requesting the abolishment of Gush Katif education day in schools.“Gush Katif day has in practice become a day for right-wing propaganda that attempts to provide a one-sided and biased narrative and does not allow for the existence of a balanced discourse to listen to additional stances and opinions,” wrote Oppenheimer.According to the Peace Now director, the content for the education day comes from a committee of Gush Katif evacuees, which constitutes “a body with a clear political ideological agenda that promotes rightwing political messages.”
