Police nab 3 youths for firebombing Palestinian taxi
Two weeks after 6 Palestinians were injured by a Molotov cocktail, police arrest 3 suspects 13 years old and younger.
By JPOST.COM STAFFPolice detained three youths from Bat Ayin between the ages of 12 and 13 on Sunday for their alleged role in the firebombing of a Palestinian taxi two weeks earlier.In the attack, a Molotov cocktail was thrown at a car carrying six Palestinians in the West Bank, injuring all six, including two children.The suspects were scheduled to be brought before the Jerusalem Magistrate's Court for their remand hearing on Sunday.David Halevi, the lawyer from the NGO "Honenu" that is defending the suspects, said "we are witness in recent months to dozens of detainments and investigations that have ended without (yielding) anything while violating the conditions of imprisonment for those detained."Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu stated in the aftermath of the attack, "This is a very serious incident." We will do everything we can to catch those responsible and bring them to justice."Judea and Samaria Commander Brigadier General Hagai Mordechai added that the incident could compromise security and stability in the West Bank.Ben Hartman and Tovah Lazaroff contributed to this report.
