Small plane crashes in Eilat; one dead, two injured

The pilot, two passengers were trapped in plane after it flipped upside down until rescue crews arrived to extract them.

A light aircraft crashed at the entrance to the city of Eilat on Thursday evening, killing one person, aged 50, and injuring another two.
Magen David Adom emergency service personnel treated one seriously wounded individual at the scene, and one person who was moderately wounded.
The pilot and his two passengers were trapped in the plane after it flipped upside down until rescue crews arrived to extract them.
The plane was flying to the Southern resort city from Herzliya.
MDA said that both of the injured individuals were conscious and were being evacuated to Yoseftal Hospital in Eilat.
Highway 90 was closed between Toronto Junction and Eilat's industrial zone.
Police are investigating the circumstances of the crash.
