Two people were killed on Monday when they were struck by an Israel Railways passenger train while trying to move a tractor that had gotten stuck on the train tracks in the vicinity of Kfar Vitkin near Hadera.MDA paramedics pronounced the victims dead at the scene of the accident. According to police, one of the victims was in his fifties, a resident of a village near Afula. The second victim was a man in his twenties from a nearby town in Emek Hefer.Disruptions in train service in the area were expected in the aftermath of the accident.Police were investigating the circumstances of the incident.
