Why ISIS is so barbaric

This week the media was flooded by gruesome images of the Islamic State’s latest video. The murder of captured Jordanian pilot Moaz al-Kasasbeh who was burned alive in a cage. This has been been described as Islamic State’s most brutal act yet. Today, we are joined by Dr. Michael Barak, a senior researcher at the Interdisciplinary Center’s (IDC's) Institute for Counter Terrorism, to discuss how powerful ISIS really is, why it carries out such barbaric acts, and what plans it has for Israel and its neighbours.
Each week, The Jerusalem Post Frontlines Podcast brings you behind-the-scenes interviews with the Post's top reporters, editors and columnists, as well as special interviews with Israeli experts and politicians to offer insight, commentary and opinion on the biggest stories in Israel.
