Looking for a new home? If you have a 25 million dollar investment, you can purchase a house in California specially designed and planned by Maria Sharapova. The former tennis player has put her house up for sale, offering a glimpse into its design.
The house, with five bedrooms, includes an ocean view. It is situated on a 900 square meter lot and was designed with “Sharapova’s personal touches” after she purchased the land on which it stands for 4.1 million dollars in 2012. The Los Angeles-based company KAA Design built the house as a custom project, and it was completed in 2015.
Among the house’s features: An entrance hall with double-height ceilings, a home theater for entertaining, a pool, an outdoor fireplace, and two bowling lanes.
The Russian, who won five Grand Slam titles in her career, will be inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame next month. After retiring from tennis in 2020, she and her partner, British businessman Alexander Gilkes, became parents following the birth of their son Alexander in 2022.
According to the report, they are selling the house because they plan to spend more time in Europe with family, but they will continue to maintain a home in Florida, where Sharapova improved her tennis skills in her early years at the IMG Academy under coach Nick Bollettieri.
