Security forces arrested ten Palestinian suspects overnight Thursday in the West Bank during the ongoing operation to retrieve three kidnapped Israeli teenagers.During one raid in the village of Samoa in the south Mount Hebron region, a Hamas member who attempted to flee, and ignored calls by an elite unit that had come to arrest him to stop, was shot and seriously injured. He was taken by the army to hospital.
Soldiers encountered some disturbances in villages such as Beit Umar during raids.
Security forces also conducted searches of 133 sites in the West Bank, a senior security source said.
Meanwhile, a Palestinian rioter who was seriously injured during clashes with the IDF in Kalandia last week has died of his injuries.A total of five Palestinians have been killed in clashes with the army since the start of the operation to retrieve three abducted Israeli youths this month.On Wednesday, the security cabinet decided that Israel would continue Operation Brother's Keeper in the West Bank in search of Gil-Ad Shaer, Eyal Yifrah and Naftali Fraenkel, and would consider ways to prevent the Palestinian Authority from transferring funds to jailed terrorists.
