More than 12,000 people gathered in Johannesburg, South Africa, on Sunday for a solidarity rally for Israel.Thousands of Christians from all across South Africa joined Jews to call for peace and security for Israel. Israeli Ambassador Arthur Lenk noted that governments around the world, including South Africa’s, recognized Israel’s right to protect its citizens and called on Hamas to stop its rockets – for the sake of both the people of Israel and of Gaza.
