The Israel Air Force bombed the Gaza home of Marwan Issa early on Tuesday, the head of Hamas's military wing the Kassam Brigades.
The IAF struck some 25 targets across Gaza overnight between Monday and Tuesday, including weapons production sites, rocket launch pits, and training camps.
Meanwhile, four rockets were fired at Israel - two fired from the Sinai Peninsula into Eilat, injuring four residents of the city lightly, and destroying vehicles. The other two were fired from Gaza into the Eshkol region.
Israeli security officials said the salvo was meant to upstage Cairo's efforts to mediate a truce ending a week-old shelling war between Israel and the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.
