Danish observers in Hebron threatened, leave city Staff
The Danish members of the international monitoring team in Hebron, left the city on Wednesday and moved to their embassy in Tel Aviv following threats and harassments by the Palestinian populace. The Palestinian behavior towards the observers came in response to the unflattering cartoons of the Muslim prophet Muhammad, first published in a Danish newspaper in September. The Danish observers remaining in Hebron have stopped patrolling the city, opting to stay in their offices, according to Israel Radio.
