Police are investigating whether Middle East expert Dr. Yossi Olmert, who lives in the US, helped funnel funds from the Holyland real-estate deal from his brother, former prime minister Ehud Olmert, police sources said on Wednesday night.

According to the sources, police suspect that Ehud Olmert may have sent his brother $250,000 in money he allegedly took in bribes.

Yossi Olmert, a veteran Likud member and resident of Ra¹anana, left Israel several years ago after bad business deals left him in huge debt.
