Ministers to debate reduced rights for Hamas prisoners
The Ministerial Committee for Legislative Affairs was due to meet on Sunday in order to decide whether to bring to the Knesset a proposed law that would aggravate conditions of Hamas prisoners held by Israel.

The law was proposed by MK Danny Danon of the Likud, in response to the maltreatment of IDF soldier Gilad Shalit, who has been held by Hamas for nearly four years.

The proposal includes a reduction in conjugal rights and reduced access to lawyers.
