4 cops to prison after Supreme Court rejects appeal

Four police officers were sentenced to one year in prison after the Supreme Court rejected their appeal on Monday morning. The officers were accused of conducting a campaign of revenge against criminals.
In his decision, Judge Salim Jobran wrote, "Extra-judicial actions by police officers damages human dignity and human rights and has a critical effect on the public's faith in the police."Following the verdict, a defense lawyer for one of the officers was quoted as saying, "I did not have big expectations," but had hoped for a different verdict.
