2 dead, 3 injured after shooting at Kalansawa cafe

Mayor's brother among dead; attacks come from passing car; shooters flee scene; police open investigation; injured taken to local hospitals.
Two people died and three others were moderately injured Wednesday evening following a shooting incident outside a coffee shop in Kalansawa.

One of the people killed was Sa'adi Hadija, brother of the town's mayor, Mahmood Hadija.

The circumstances of the incident are not yet clear but police have opened an investigation and are searching for those whose carried out the attack.

Magen David Adom crews that arrived at the scene treated the injured and evacuated them to a local hospital.

The attack took place outside a crowded coffee shop and was carried out from a passing car.

The shooters fled the scene immediately after the attack.

Police believe that they only intended on hitting the mayor's brother and did not plan on causing the number of casualties that they did.
