US: Five arrested on suspicion of terror financing Staff
Five Jordanians were arrested in the United States on Friday on suspicion of using bank loans in order to finance terror organizations. The five are all brothers or cousins of Shauki Omar, a Kuwaiti-born American on trial for suspected al-Qaeda connections. The suspects allegedly received hundreds of thousands of dollars in bank loans without paying them back. The Federal Bureau of Investigation was investigating whether the money was intended to finance Middle Eastern terror organizations.
