Three soldiers and a civilian were injured on Saturday in Yemen during a shutdown launched by anti-government protesters, AFP reported quoting a local official.

According to the report, the protesters fired on troops who were trying to dismantle roadblocks set up by activists near Mansura.

One soldier was reported to have been in serious condition.

Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh was expected to sign an agreement on Saturday to quit power in a month's time in exchange for immunity, a deal rejected by street protesters demanding his immediate ouster and prosecution.
