Romanian man charged with hacking NASA computers

LOS ANGELES - A Romanian man accused of hacking into NASA computers at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory near Los Angeles under the online moniker "Iceman" has been indicted on a federal charge, prosecutors said on Wednesday.

Robert Butyka is charged with hacking into 25 NASA computers at JPL in December of 2010, causing $500,000 in damage and leaving researchers unable to use them for two months, US Attorney's spokesman Thom Mrozek said.
