Report: Egypt says arrested al-Qaida member was wrong man
Egyptian security officials said Wednesday that a suspected al-Qaida member who was arrested while entering the country Tuesday is not the man they believed him to be, AFP reported.

Mohammed Ibrahim Makkawi, who apparently shares a name with an al-Qaida militant better known as Saif al-Adel, had denied he was the man authorities originally said he was at the time of his arrest.

However, the Makkawi in custody is wanted for involvement in another terrorist group, Egyptian officials told AFP.
