Atias: 'Embrace" haredi job-seekers, don't incite against
Minister of Housing Ariel Atias on Sunday said that creating economic difficulties and barriers for the haredi community will not succeed in forcing even a single haredi (ultra-orthodox) person to join the army, Israel Radio reported.

Atias made his comments at a conference on alternatives to the Tal Law organized by the Israel Democracy Institute.

Atias accused the Likud of taking advantage of its new massive coalition to unfairly pressure the haredi community.

He added that the haredi community is undergoing a natural process of integration into the labor market and that the government should "embrace" and "not incite" against this trend.
