That's Lifestyle: Love is in the air
Lifestyle Editor wraps up this week’s stories: Wining and dining on Tu Be'av; food fit for an Olympian.
The humidity may have dropped this week but here at the

Our food writers also succumbed to the power of love, serving up a selection of recipes and restaurants perfect for a romantic date. Neria Barr took advantage of the low price of tomatoes and, with the help of Chef Amir Schuller, showed us how to cook an
all-red meal for Tu Be’av. Our comprehensive list of restaurants and hotels around the country offering romantic specials got everyone in the mood.

Though we were all preoccupied here with dating and romantic meals, we didn't forget all the sportsmen and women who have been working hard all week at the London Olympics. For those who've been inspired to hit the gym because of the Games, Kathryn Rubin offered up her advice on what foods to avoid after a long workout.

The Olympics aren't all about hard work though. Here at the Lifestyle department, we go with the motto "work hard, play hard" and that's why think it's important to let loose and celebrate when necessary. Any successful Olympians in London who want to celebrate their wins with a glass of wine would find Adam Montefiore's write up on the stellar array of fine wines available in the English capital very useful.

Steering away from love and Olympics, Wayne Stiles gave us a unique insight into the history of Jerusalem with his timeline titled: Walls of Jerusalem through the centuries.

Speaking of Jerusalem, a few of us at JPost were given the opportunity to explore some interesting parts of the Old City this week. Can you spot the Lifestyle Editor himself in this picture?

Some highlights to look out for next week include an Alternatively Speaking Olympics special and Tanya Powell-Jones will be giving us the lowdown on all things Jewish in Prague.

The writer is's Lifestyle editor.
