Report: Iran official arrested in Germany with $70m check

A man caught in January attempting to enter Germany with a check worth $70 million was Iran's former central bank chief, Army Radio quoted German newspaper Bild am Sonntag as reporting.

According to the report, Tahmasb Mazaheri was arriving from Turkey and was arrested by customs officials at Duesseldorf airport with a check for 300 million Venezuelan Bolivars.
