Man rearrested for molesting Beit Shemesh children

A 34-year-old Jewish pedophile was under arrest Tuesday for allegedly sexually molesting at least five children in Beit Shemesh since his release from jail for similar crimes a year and a half ago, police said. The suspect, who confessed to the allegations against him, told police interrogators that he "likes 8-year-old Ethiopian-born male children," Jerusalem police spokeswoman Sigal Toledo said. The pedophile would play with the children near his Beit Shemesh house, and would then invite them into the storage room of his house or a nearby synagogue, where he would sexually molest them, the police said. The child abuser was remanded in custody for eight days Tuesday by the Jerusalem Magistrate's Court, during which time he would be sent for a psychiatric evaluation.
