There have been no serious coalition talks in a week, Bayit Yehudi head Naftali Bennett said on Monday during a faction meeting.

"Bayit Yehudi can wait but the people of Israel cannot when there are so many socioeconomic challenges ahead. The government should be formed as soon as possible," Bennett said.

Bennett called to expedite the progress of the negotiations, but stressed that "important principles must be resolved before portfolios."
