Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu denied on Saturday claims made by Syrian President Bashar Assad that Ankara and Jerusalem made a pact against his regime, Turkish news agency Anatolia reported.

The Syrian president said in an interview aired on Turkish television on Friday that Israel's apology to Turkey over the 2010 Mavi Marmara incident followed an agreement between the two countries to destroy Syria.

"Such arguments like Turkey is in cooperation with Israel against Syria have no grounds," Davutoglu said.

"Turkey never speaks to Israel or any other third party about its neighbors," he added.
