A Ramat Gan man was caught scamming people out of their money via facebook, police reported on Sunday.

The 29-year-old man stole people of their money by messaging them on facebook that they had won a lottery, and in order to receive their winnings, they had to send him a down payment to his account.

In this fashion, 14 women were robbed of their money.

The same man is also suspected of falsely advertising outrageously cheap smart phones on the site "yad2" which is site where customers can buy second-hand products below market value.

After sending money to the man's account, he would disappear without sending them the desired product.

Tel Aviv police successfully arrested the man and brought him to the northern district to face charges of fraud.
