IDF Home Front Command launches first centralized operations center
The IDF Home Front Command launched its first centralized operations center on Tuesday in southern Israel.

The center will coordinate the activities of four Home Front Command search-and-rescue battalions and will spring into action in any mass casualty emergency or unconventional attack incident.

Maj.-Gen. Eyal Eizenberg, commander of the Home Front Command, said at a ceremony to mark the center’s opening, “Threats and challenges to the home front are rising, and the home front is turning into a front. In an emergency, the center will receive responsibility for an operational arena, and will provide an answer to search and rescue incidents and unconventional incidents.

It will help the population and carry out every required mission.”
